Do I need to make an appointment to visit Bumpstart Baby Shop?

No appointment needed — you’re very welcome to pop in any time during our opening hours! If you’d like a dedicated one-to-one consultation (especially for pram or car seat fittings), we recommend booking ahead so we can give you our full attention.

Do you offer payment plans or flexible payment options?

Yes, we do! We know preparing for a baby can be a big investment, so we offer flexible payment options to help spread the cost. Just ask in-store or get in touch, and we’ll talk you through the options available.

Do you have a wide range of products on display in-store?

We sure do! What makes Bumpstart a bit unique is that everything you see on our website is also available to view on our shop floor. We have a big range of prams, car seats, nursery furniture, and baby essentials on display so you can see, touch, and test before you buy. If you’re after something specific, feel free to call ahead to check what’s currently on display.

Can I try my baby in the prams or car seats before buying?

Absolutely — we encourage it! Bring your little one along and we’ll help you try them in the prams or car seats to make sure you’re happy with the fit, comfort, and ease of use. We’re here to help you find the perfect match.

Do you offer product advice or help with choosing what’s right for my baby?

Yes! Our team is here to guide you through all the choices and help you find what’s best for your family’s needs and lifestyle. Whether it’s your first baby or you’re adding to your crew, we’re always happy to offer advice and recommendations.

Do you offer free storage for purchases?

Yes, we do! We’re happy to store your larger purchases — like prams, car seats, or furniture — free of charge until you’re ready to collect them. Just let us know when you’d like to pick them up, and we’ll have everything ready for you.

What delivery options do you offer?

We offer local delivery as well as nationwide shipping for most of our products. Whether you need a pram dropped off nearby or a nursery furniture set shipped further afield, we’ll help arrange the best option for you. Delivery costs and times can vary, so feel free to ask us for details when you order.

Do you offer price matching?

We always aim to offer the best value, and we’re happy to price match if you find the same product cheaper elsewhere (subject to terms and conditions). Just chat to us in-store or get in touch before you buy, and we’ll do our best to help.

Can I try your prams in my car boot for size?

Yes, absolutely! We’re happy to help you test how the pram folds down and fits into your car boot before you buy. Just bring your car along, and we’ll make sure you leave knowing your pram fits comfortably and works for your family’s needs.

How do I place an order?

You can place an order with Bumpstart in-store, over the phone, or online through our website — whatever works best for you! If you’re unsure about anything or need help deciding, our friendly team is always happy to guide you through the options and make sure you get exactly what you need.

Shipping, Returns & Exchanges

We use all major carriers, and local courier partners. You’ll be asked to select a delivery method during checkout.

What is the shipping policy?

As soon as you place your order, you’ll get a confirmation email to let you know our team has received it. We aim to process and dispatch in-stock orders within seven working days, and we’ll keep you updated as things move along.

We send most parcels using trusted couriers like Royal Mail or DPD usually on a 48-hour service. For larger items like prams and nursery furniture, delivery can take a little longer — but don’t worry, we’ll let you know if anything is out of stock or delayed.

Once your order has been fulfilled, you’ll receive another email with your tracking details so you can follow its journey. Please note we’re closed on Mondays, so no orders go out on that day.

And just a heads-up: shipping fees are non-refundable if you decide to return your order. If you ever have a question or want to check in on your delivery, just get in touch with your order number — we’re always happy to help!

Do you ship overseas?

At the moment, we only offer delivery within the UK. We’re always looking at ways to expand our services, so feel free to get in touch if you have a special request, and we’ll do our best to help.

What is you returns & cancellation policy

We understand that sometimes you change your mind — and that’s okay! You have the right to cancel your order within seven days of receiving your goods. To return an item, it must be unused, in its original condition and packaging, with all labels and point-of-sale tags attached. Please include your order number, name, address, and the reason for your return so we can process it smoothly.

Please note: return postage costs are the customer’s responsibility and need to be covered before we can issue any refund. If you paid for delivery on an order under £75, those original shipping costs are non-refundable. We aim to process refunds within 14 days of receiving your returned item, in line with Distance Selling Regulations.

Unfortunately, we cannot offer refunds on special order products, including items we don’t normally stock, made-to-measure mattresses, nappies, or pre-cut fabrics. For pre-assembled furniture, please double-check that it will fit through your doors, up the stairs, and into the nursery before delivery — you may incur extra charges if access isn’t available.

If you cancel an order that’s already been dispatched, you’ll be responsible for the return costs.

For all courier deliveries, please make sure someone is available to sign for the parcel at the delivery address — and let us know straight away if something doesn’t look right.

Lastly, we do our bit for the environment by reusing packaging materials where we can, so your order may arrive in a recycled or non-branded box. If you miss a delivery, the courier will leave a card with instructions; please follow up promptly to avoid the parcel being returned to us, as any extra costs will be the customer’s responsibility.

Does my order come with a warranty?

All products purchased from Bumpstart come with a manufacturer’s warranty for your peace of mind. If you experience any problems with a product you bought from us, just give us a call on 0800 354 3052 — we’re here to help! Please have your proof of purchase handy, as we’ll need that before we can process any warranty claims.

If a manufacturing fault appears within 28 days of purchase, we’ll happily exchange the item. If a fault develops within the warranty period but after 28 days, the product will be repaired or, at the manufacturer’s discretion, replaced.

If you need to send goods back for inspection, the return postage is initially your responsibility. If it turns out to be a manufacturing fault, we’ll cover the repair costs and refund any carriage charges.

We’re also happy to help arrange repairs for accidental damage where possible, but in those cases, the customer would cover the repair costs. Please note that all final decisions on repairs or replacements sit with the manufacturer, as their product expertise guides the process.

What are your delivery charges?

We keep things simple: there’s a £4.95 flat rate for orders under £75, and we offer free delivery on orders over £75(excluding furniture). Orders are dispatched using Royal Mail or a trusted courier, and if an item is in stock, you can usually expect delivery within 3–5 working days.

Some larger furniture items may have an additional delivery charge — where that’s the case, we’ve included it in the price of the item and will mention it in the product description.

At the moment, we only deliver within the UK mainland and unfortunately can’t ship overseas.
