Bumpstart Loan Service Policy
1. Purpose
Bumpstart offers a loan service to support in-store customers in situations where:

Their product is being inspected or repaired under warranty, or
-
Their purchased product has not yet arrived, and their baby is due or has arrived
This service provides short-term use of a suitable replacement product, subject to availability and the terms below.
2. Eligibility
A loan item may be offered:

When the customer’s product is away for warranty inspection or repair, or
-
When the customer’s order is awaited, and the product is needed sooner (e.g, if baby arrives earlier than expected)

The product was purchased in-store at Bumpstart, and
-
Loan stock is available at the time of request
The loan service is available for in-store customers only and is offered at Bumpstart’s discretion.
3. Collection & Return

Loan items must be collected and returned in person to the Bumpstart store
-
Courier delivery or collection is not available
-
The loan period will be agreed upon collection

Loan items must be returned to Bumpstart within 3 working days of the customer’s own product being ready for collection or their warranty replacement being received
Failure to return the item on time may result in additional charges.
4. Product Condition & Inspection
Before release and on return:

Bumpstart will inspect and record the condition of each loan item (including photos and notes)

On return, the item will be inspected again and must be in clean, good condition with all accessories included
If a product is returned unclean, a cleaning fee will apply.
If a product is damaged or missing parts, a repair or replacement charge will apply.
5. Loan Agreement & Customer Responsibility
Before taking a loan product, customers must sign a Loan Agreement Form confirming that they:

Accept full responsibility for the loan item while in their care

Will not modify, repair, or misuse the product

Will keep the product clean, safe, and stored appropriately
-
Will return all items in the same condition as issued.

Agree to pay any cleaning, repair, or replacement fees if required
6. Loan Period

The loan period covers either:

The duration of the manufacturer’s inspection or repair, or
-
The period until the customer’s purchased item arrives
-

Customers will be notified when their product or repair is ready

Extensions may be offered at Bumpstart’s discretion if supplier delays occur
7. Fees and Deposits

Loan products are usually provided free of charge for warranty or delayed-order cases
-
A refundable deposit may be required, depending on product type and value
-
For other circumstances (e.g. courtesy or non-warranty use), a rental fee may apply — confirmed before issue
8. Availability
-
Loan products are limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis
-
An identical replacement cannot be guaranteed — a comparable alternative will be provided where possible
-
Bumpstart reserves the right to refuse, limit, or withdraw a loan at any time
9. Key Notes

The loan service is available for in-store customers only

Collection and return must take place in-store

Loan items remain the property of Bumpstart at all times
-
The loan service is a courtesy provision, not a warranty entitlement
-
Customers are liable for cleaning, repair, or replacement costs if the item is returned in poor condition
